Jessie van den Boorn is an up-coming film and media composer, born in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
She studied a Bachelor’s in Music Education at Conservatorium Maastricht and learned to sing and play instruments such as piano, guitar and tin whistle. She also trained to conduct choirs and arrange and compose music in a range of genres, from pop to classical. In 2017 she finished her Master’s Degree in Composing Music for Film and Television at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
Jessie has scored the music for several short films and documentaries made in both the Netherlands and the UK.
In April 2019 Jessie won the award for 'Best Music and Sound' for the film 'Sprinter', made by Lou Kruisbergen, at the Limburgse Filmdagen 2019.
In 2017 composer James Waymont and Jessie established Undercurrent Music Productions, a music composing production company specialising in writing original soundtracks for Film, TV, and Game productions. Please see click here for more information
